Check Planet Soarer, Peter Scott has an article on changing cams. He would know specs.

1990-1994 1UZFE LS400 engine (1992-1995 SC400)
224 degrees intake duration (3 BTDC, 41 ABDC) apx .301"/7.65mm lift
229 degrees exhaust duration (41 BBDC, 3 ATDC) apx .305"/7.75mm lift

1995-1997 1UZFE LS400 engine (1996-1997 SC400)
232 degrees intake duration (6 BTDC, 46 ABDC)
Intake lift increases over previous design but likely no more than .309"/7.85mm,
I could not find specifics only that it was increased.
Exhaust lift and duration is the same as earlier design.
229 degrees exhaust duration (41 BBDC, 3 ATDC)

I've been trying to put in all the details into desktop dyno so I can play, but there seems to be a few different cam specs

"1990-1994 1UZFE LS400 engine (1992-1995 SC400)
224 degrees intake duration (3 BTDC, 41 ABDC) apx .301"/7.65mm lift
229 degrees exhaust duration (41 BBDC, 3 ATDC) apx .305"/7.75mm lift

1995-1997 1UZFE LS400 engine (1996-1997 SC400)
232 degrees intake duration (6 BTDC, 46 ABDC)
Intake lift increases over previous design but likely no more than .309"/7.85mm,
I could not find specifics only that it was increased.
Exhaust lift and duration is the same as earlier design.
229 degrees exhaust duration (41 BBDC, 3 ATDC)"

"The most effective would seem to be changing the standard exhaust cam for an exhaust cam with revised opening of 55 degrees BBDC (Before Bottom Dead Centre) and closing of 18 ATDC (After Top Dead Centre) (standard exhaust is 46 BBDC and 3 ATDC). This changed exhaust cam with the standard intake increased the horsepower from 260 to 300 !! (modelled on Dyno2000)."

"I was measuring some things on my 1UZ and I also measured the max lift for the stock 1UZ cams (from a crown engine):

Intake: 6.75mm
Exhaust: 7.00mm"

And I also need where the measurement is taken ie "seat to seat" or "0.050"

Cause these small changes make a big difference

I wouldn't change the cams without changing the ECU.

The benefits aren't worth the $$$

Peter Scott wrote on Planet Soarer, that he changed the cams on his UZZ32, and it did diddly for performance, and wasn't worth the hassle.

I have changed the cams in mine and got an improvement from 202.2kw to 208kw at rear wheels.
So not much kw improvement for the bucks

Ahh, the supercharger.

Put a stand alone ECU on there instead of the uni-chip crap and you'll get a lot more power.

I have modified my profile because I forgot that I already have a Uni-chip in. The Uni-chip toke it up from 175kw to 202.2kw.

I would expect a 1UZ with supercharger, cams, headers, and unichip to be pushing A LOT more than 208rwkw.

I was getting 180rwkw with stock cams, no supercharger, extractors and Microtech.

With 5-6psi boost I'd be worried if I wasn't cracking the 230rwkw mark, and well over 250rwkw after cams.

I'll be getting a set of mild cams in a couple of months, and I'll be expecting about 250rwkw. (this is NA)
