My fuel cap door wont open. The button under the dash is in the right spot because the boot release works. I've tried the "pull this" cord in the boot ...... nothing. I'm getting a click like the solenoid is working but it just not releasing ie the catch is stuck. How can I get it open? short of leavering it with a screw driver. Couldn't se a way of getting in through the back.

Robin, you will probably need to lever it open, use a small flat screwdriver well wrapped in a bit of rag to protect the paint. Have someone pull the release cable in the boot while you do this. Once open, you can investigate why it isn't opening easily.

This is on the assumption that the catch has released, but is just sticking a little bit. If it won't open easily with a lever, then you have a major problem.

Peter got it open without too much trouble the little spring had come off and was stopping it from opening and the spring was still there. I put it back together and all is fine now I just need to fill it up.

Pity, are you working on that as an additional feature for the forum?
