Hi,

Car is due for a service, just wondering what parts I should use?
1993 SC400 160.000km

What brand/part number do you recommend?

Spark Plugs
Oil filter
Oil
Transmission fluid
Coolant

Also, have I missed anything?

Ahh also before I forget I have a few more questions.

1) How many litres of oil do I need for the engine?

2) Apparently to get to cyl's #8 sparkplug, I need to remove the brake assembly. Is that so?

3) What else would you recommend to be done at 160.000km?

4) Do I have to use the Denso plugs? NGK sell BKR6ES-11 which are assigned to the SC400 for USA on a 0.044 gap.

1) My V8 uses close to 6 litres with a filter change.

2) No, but it is tricky, you need an elbow joint or two.

3) Depends if the timing belt has been changed or not.

4) Use what you like, the -11 is the main factor, but Iridium or Platinum is recommended for longer life. I used NGK BKR6EIX-11 Iridium.

Greater clearances between moving engine components as time & Km's go by, requiring a higher viscosity of oil to keep things running nicely.
