Especially when I leave my car to warm up for 10 mins at 4.30am for work :-) hehehehehehehehe

Once it warms up, it should drop back down to 700rpm's and sit there religiously.

When I had my old RX7 I had to warm it up every time before driving it since it is a rotary. One day I found a copy of the local sound laws left in my mail box.

Why the switch from a rotor to a UZZ31 Shane? Them RX7's are rockets.

You are referring to their maintenance cost?

Well a couple of reasons

Got sick of driving down the road at 80 KPH or so and the engine just dying. Can be kinda scary when you are in gear and in traffic.

The leak in the window, causing my to have to disconnect the sound system. The $4000 or so I spent on mechanical in the last year to try and fix these problems.

The kicker was when the apex seals finally wore out and it needed a new engine. Also I had it for 6 years and was bored of it.

I have given it to my step son, so together we are going to rebuild it. It will be a fun project since we will be able to strip it down and not have to worry about keeping it drivable while we are working on it.
