Not for me. Loses decent air filtering. I would rather my engine last, so I will keep the current setup and fit a supercharger if I tire of a mere 155rwkw in a manual

If anything you could afford to have superior filtering (not necessarily the K&N in that pic) and still be in front due to effectively doubling the filter and intake area
It would be interesting to see the twin intake arrangement plumbed into a supercharger though

Dual air intake would be interesting Phil.
The standard air filters are just as good as the K&N as long as they are replaced regularly, and it's a better filter. I have had both and there has been no difference. I got 177.2rwkw on a K&N and 178rwkw on the standard one. The dyno was not done on the same day though (the K&N was tested on a slightly warmer day) so I will take it as being much the same.

I Recently did a BFI to my stock airbox on my 5 cylinder Honda, made quite a difference, superb loud induction noise and noticeably faster. Its far better than the $100 K&N I had previously. One of the easiest and best mods really!
From what Ive seen Its pretty Obvious the BFI mod works better on a soarer vs a K&N - Especially since its been proven by numerous dynos showing the difference in power between the two.
Its probably the same case for many cars out there - Even my honda is one the the models that respond better to a bfi than a fancy performance filter.
