Hey guys! I must say that im pretty impressed with the stock speakers in my soarer! Ive got them running off a new pioneer head unit filtered at 80 Hz, and they realy crank! I hav'nt utilised the stock sub, rather i used my old MTX thunder 4000 12", and a 4 channel amp bridged! None of the speakers are amped, just the sub! The sub is rated at 200w RMS, and the amp puts out 65w RMS per channel. Bridged, mabey 150w RMS. Half the amp is blown anyway, so im only using the 2!!! Most impressive is the stock speakers!

realy? I didnt see the point to giving them more power. Im guessing there not very powerfull speakers, so the power my head unit puts out would be enough! Am i wrong?

The stock soarer front speakers are just about as good as you'll get, especially as they come in their own tuned enclosure. Run at least 50w RMS through it (decks are 45-50w PMPO, meaning that they put out bugger all power, about 13w RMS) and you will notice a HUGE difference!

Just be wary on that mate, it might mean peak output rather than continous. It is just no physically possible to have a really high power amp inside the confines of a deck. After the space for equalisation circuits, cd and tuner devices are taken into account, it doesn't leave much room left over for mosfets!
99.99% of the time, the most simple amplifier will out do the most top of the line deck.

Most of the top of the line decks don't even have an amp in them, it's just signals out. If you're going for high quality sound it's a given that you'll be using external amps so there is no point in putting one on the deck.
The stock speakers and amps aren't really that bad at all (in my experience anyway). I've only got an aftermarket deck fitted to the stock amps, speakers and woofer and it sounds like an aftermarket system.

I have the stock 7 speaker system, and all I have done is fitted Jaycar tweeters, and crossovers. No complaints from me, or my 18 year old daughter, who like all young ones, knows a good sound system when they hear one.
