hi, just wanted to know whats the best way to go with new speakers. do i just upgrade the old ones and gets ones that'd fit straight into the old enclosures or do i custom make my own to fit bigger speakers? i like the design of the front door enclosures just not sure how much 4" speakers can handle

Hey Joshua,
best to do a search on the topic or just read through the threads in the ICE forum, there are tons of peoples systems and opinions in there.
For what its worth I will be upgrading the front speakers to 6.5" splits with custom enclosures BUT it will retain the factory look with the same door skins etc. The sub will also be upgraded (again in factory location) and new amps will be fitted to power them all.
I guess it depends how far you want to go and how much your willing to spend...

i was looking for a system the other day and after listening to a few speakers i found that a set of focal 4.5 splits running of a good (audioson) amp had far better sound quality than a 6.5 from alpine or equivelant brand funning of a alpine amp.

thanx heaps. i just installed 6.5" in the front 220Watt, a new rear amp to drive the 10inch sub i put in and new 4" in the parcel shelf either side. sounds great
