Just wondering if anyone had an opinion or experience with the Exide Orbital batteries?

They seem to be another gel cell deep cycle battery similar to the optima's and with an 84 month warranty.

Thanks for any input.

Gel's are quite good batterys i hear... Have not seen to many of them around though. What about Dry Cell? I have seen to many Orbital's crap out when stressed to recommend one. Yes i know some people are happy with them!! ...I just know a lot of people with them. And still US made from my understanding... Long Trip over here.

But what will the battery be used for? Audio? Deep Cycle? Changes a lot.

Audio mainly, I'm actually in canada so the distance isn't so great. The other battery I want to check out is the Odyssey 'dry' cells.

Well now i want to add Odyssey's to the list of info needed.

I found a great price on them so I'm wondering if there is any experience with them.

I'm a big fan of the Odyssey range, however over these shores they seem to be priced out of contention (except for the racing guys who want to drop as much weight as possible)

Well I can now get the Odyssey pc1500 for 250 dollars. The exide orbital 34XCD is about 180 and a Yellowtop depending on the battery is 250 ish as well.

Odyssey battery's from my understanding are great battery's all round. I would have one if the $$ where right.

Optima recharge quickly and great with vibration. Hold voltages well under load. But seen more than a few crap out.

Dry cell seem to have more CCA but i have not had much hands on with them. They look like great batteries. Been able to 100% discharge these would help a lot of people.
Maybe someone else can help more with the Dry's.

Exide Orbitals are nothing great... Not that good at deep cycle. Never taken them very serious in car audio. These are made in US last i heard.

Sorry guys got my post on the last topic wrong. Wasn't thinking when i wrote Optima not Orbitals. Very sorry about this.

Hope this helps

No prob I think i'll pick up the Odyssey then. From my supplier i can get them cheaper than I can get a hold of optima's. And a four year over the counter replacement warranty.
