Hi guys I bought this DVD player with twin 7" LCDs for $300, but now it gone down to $250.
I dont have the brackets to hold the screens but the straps that comes with the screen cover, not a good setup though. I am trying to connect the dvd output to the EMV and not sure what are these for..
looks like one for audeo/video input/output?? and the other is a push button; not sure whats that for Need help to identify these 2 things guys... Thanks ~

I may be completely wrong but that button thingy looks suspiciously like one that I have under the dash. Apparently it's connected to a factory security system. I pulled mine out while driving and thirty seconds later the horn started sounding and the indicators went off. Try it with yours, but be careful, I don't know what happens next.
oh cool guys If my EMV works for the DVD i am gonna put the front LCD to back as well. Now i am using the cassette deck to connect with the DVD and the incar sound system; works well though. May be if I search more under the carpet i could find more things...I already found couple of Yens..

Those units are actually quited good..!! We sell em' at work.. $269 atm i believe..!! The screen quality is excellent and it is a 'real' TFT screen, instead of a crappy, run-of-the-mill LCD...
I connect the video out from the DVD to the socket, yes i can see the crappy signals on the TV. Actually it looks like an old Tv out of tune. I can see the pictures from the dvd going up and down which is unclear, but the sound is ok. Yeah Luke that push button turns on/off the AV sockets in TV mode. Is my Tv unit stuffed up?

If you want to run a signal to your EMV then you will need to make sure that it is an NTSC signal, not PAL. Otherwise you will get a black and white image with no sync.

Sorry, I should have stated that usually it's a matter of switching the output somewhere in the menu in the DVD player. A lot support both PAL and NTSC output.

I think your best bet is too simply leave your two screens as they are (one in passenger and one in the back middle) and simply wire the audio up to the TV tuner input. This means you don't have to get a NTSC->PAL converter, nor have to worry about the handbrake override as well, and plus people won't complain they can't see the dvd when your changing air-con settings etc.
Not to mention it then removes the temptation on the driver to watch dvds while your driving too
Yeah I think that's better way too. Anyway the dvd doesn't have a function to switch the output from PAL to NTSC on it's menu. I think it has a handbrake override unit too, because the TV was working while I was driving. Well I guess that's it till I get a converter.
