Hi guys,
started getting my system into the car, but now i need an amp to buy
currently setup with - (not in a soarer) Pioneer TSC160R Components in the front Pioneer TSC130R Components in the rear Pioneer DEH6950 Head unit
i was looking at the pioneer 600W 4ch amp but my friend says i should get something with 70RMSx4 but i think that'll blow the speakers (and hell they emptied my pockets to get them).
i'm a bit dull with electronics so i was wondering if someone could shed some light on the issue for me

If you are going to limit yourself to just pioneer then get the Ice Power range.
As for wattage... Dont worry. I've got at the moment an Alpine PDX with 167RMS x4 running my Eclipse SE8245 Coax 25RMS` and factory tweeters. It doesnt matter really (Time depended) how much wattage you put in its more how you drive them.

I 100% agree. I see it everyday. Kinda what i was mean by myself running 160rms... Better to have power on tap than to under power your speaker. Huge factor with subs. Better off with 1 cone with more power than 2 cones with almost enough.

That's why I run two of my Alpine Type R's off two MRD-M605's
I'm always trying to tell my mates that having one amp that can JUST supply the amount of power to their two subs isn't the best for performance but I don't think they really care hahaha
