Well I want to change my LED's in most of my dash (including AC system). If been doing some quick research on LED's and found out that by changing the voltage (or band gap???) the LED will change colour.
I want to know if I can set all my LED's to come on RED when I start my car and then slowly change colour to BLUE as they warm up (over the next minute or so). Than I want them to stay blue until I turn my car off.

....? Never heard of that and I've been playing with LED's for ages! Generally not enough voltage and they are dull and too much voltage they smoke. Maybe a special type of LED????

It would be cool but wouldn't it. Like if you're whole dash would slowly change colour. Maybe hook it up to your tacho so the colour of your dash represents your RPM!

Would be kinda cool, but distracting. I do have in my box of tricks LEDs that cycle through Red, Green and Blue. They do it at a fair rate of knots though. I did think about using them to replace the red LEDs beside the gear selector, but went with a more practical option of White

Well it wouldn't be possible unless your talking interior lights in the way the article described. As it used a multitude of different coloured LEDs to get the effect. Not a single LED with voltage variation.
Just wouldn't be room to have multiple LEDs behind the switches.

hehehe Well anything is possible, do your research and you may just surprise us. I have seen Lights that do change colour on things and have wondered how it works. It is possible they do exist! Just personally haven't used them. Keep looking and you may find an answer!
