I has hoping someone may know something about this unit.

After importing my car it has this mini disc player unit and mp3 stacker in it. on researching this unit i learned that it was also available in Australia.

my problem is that mine only tunes to 88mhz. is there a setting to make this unit serach to a higher frequency or is it a chip controlled process. i know i can get fm expanders to help it work, although i was hoping there may be a setting to change it on the unit.

also if anyone knows where i can get a copy of a manual for this unit that would also help alot.

you need to get an FM expander. Personally i'd invest in a better headunit. Headunits nowadays are relatively cheap.

Thats one fine looking headunit!

According to this page, the FM modulator only supports 76-90MHz. If it supported up to 108 then it should have said it there:

Here is the australian site. Must have a different Tuner module...

Try contacting Sony Support to see if they can help. If not, are you looking to sell it?

yeah, i was thinking along the lines that it may be the tuner module that may be different between the two countries. i have herd on some units there is a menu that can be accessed that changes frequency that the tuner can search to.

if i am unsucessful i guess ill have to put an expander on it. sorry dominik, i kinda like it although i cant get the radio.
