Got a four channel amp and sub installed the other day and the guy who did it for me said that there is a factory amplifier in the doors driving each of the stock components up front. Are they any good or should i just rewire them to the amp instead?

The factory 4 channel amp is under the stacker in the boot. they are a reasonable amp, about 4 x 45 WRMS. I caually run two of them with active crossovers. The el-cheapo pov pack stereo in some TT's does not have an amp separate but inbuilt in the head unit.

The one with inbuilt amps has no CD option at all, just radio and tape. The single CD headunit uses the same amps/sub as EMV and headunit/stacker cars. The single CD CAN be fixed.
