I tried installing it today without much luck. I used the aeropro 87+ camry/celica harness. The colours on the harness match with the ones on the eonon, so it was easy connecting up the wires. However, the dash has 4 plugs, and I just fit the harness plugs to the ones that fit on the dash. Only 2 of them seemed to fit. Here are some pics. Please note that the connections shown taped up are only temporary just to test the setup:
I connected 2 of the dash female plug with 6 of the harness connected to eonon head, and connected 3 of the dash plug with 5 of the harness as these are the only ones that seemed to fit each other. There is one orange wire in the harness thats not connected to anything.
After this I tried turning it on. No response. I really need help guys. I wana install this thing as soon as I can.
My specs are 91 V8 UZZ31, non EMV, factory sub.
I dont want any high end sound setup, I just want the factory setup of what I have to work with this head, including the sub.How can I get there? I have had some input from Marius in my other thread.
Note also that all my trim is removed as the whole interior is getting retrimmed.

The aeropro harness only has the 2 male plugs as you would probably be aware. Here are pics of the eonon head and the other additional input that can be hooked up:

NEVER EVER connect two plugs together just because you can ; if they are not from the same unit...Even if you see same colors. Unfortunately vendors did not agree even to this day to a color standard ( and I hate this with a passion; as I have done more than a handful of installations and I always have to spend hours to identify the wires ).
You can easily kill a unit by shorting the +ve to the chassis as the amp transistors are grounded to the chassis and the voltage spike will kill them.
You need to cut off the plugs and solder wire by wire the +ve, ground, + and - for front right, front left speaker, etc. As I said, for every soarer there is a schematic diagram that indicates where each wire goes.
I suggest you go to a professional installer and pay the dough and get it done; or pay someone who is specialized in this.
But if you want to do it on your own, start with taking a multimeter and identify which is the permanent ve+ ( 12 v always on, this is just for settings/radio memory ) and the accessories ve+ ( 12V when you switch key to accessories or start the car; this is for power supply so it should be a thicker wire ). Then identify the ground . Once you join ( preferably with heat shrink ) those, there is no more danger of stuffing up bad, as speaker wires connected wrong end up in out of phase speakers, no damage.
If you can't find the diagrams take a 9V battery and short every adjacent wires in the big square plug ( I think it is no 4 in your picture from memory ), and you will find the speakers as they will make a sound when you touch the battery. If I find the diagrams I will post it in here...

Thanks Marius. I went to Strathfield today and they told me that they will be able to rewire the head to the speakers and possibly hook up the factory sub in the process as well for about $100 (since all my trim is out). This setup will be using my heads built in amps instead of the factory ones. Do you think its a good idea? What wattage are the factory amps?

I believe the factory amp is 80 or 100w depending on model, it might be 100 on yours as you have a aub installed ( I did not have a sub and suspect the factory amp was 80w ).
I am not sure where they will hook up the factory sub as you need an amp to drive it, and if you connect the head outputs to the speakers, there are no more outputs ! You cannot double up and connect both.
But the head unit should drive the speakers nice; I would go and buy 2 crossovers for the front doors as it will improve sound a lot ( current setup if original only has one capacitor ). It is part number cx2612 from Jaycar ( buy exactly that ).

I dont have much idea when it comes to electrical stuff so wondering if that 80-100W amp is divided among all the speakers, giving each speaker about 20-25W? Please excuse my dumbness

Just got a used Audio master 560W 4 channel amp ($50). Strathfield will do the install on wednesday. They will run wires directly from head to front speakers and use the RC out to connect to the new amp which would supply the rear speakers and sub. All up, just the wiring (including the amp wire cost)is going to set me back $200.
