Nightmare to hook up factory stuff. Rewiring is way cheaper with an aftermarket amp- you usually get all the speaker wires coming out of the factory amp so wire up new amp, head unit wires etc there, no need to wire all the way. Atleast this is true for uzz31 factory sub v8 91.

Dont get me wrong, I would hook up new speakers and what not, but the factory speakers/sub just sound so fantastic i dont want to get rid of them.
In my old Supra i had a Alpine head unit, 4 alpine speakers and sub, yet that was nothing in comparison to my soarers factory set up, i guess its because its so balanced is what makes it sound so good.
Best factory set up by far in any car i have ever been in............
Except for my dads VZ Caprice......... Not really a Holden fan, but it has about 20 speakers and two t.v.'s and a Sub......

Drew, the factory speakers sound 10 times better with even a 4x40w RMS amplifier.. and for the sake of a couple hundred bucks, I would seriously consider it

Yah mate, I just meant a rewire with an aftermarket amp- keep the factory speakers as you would be hardpressed to find better. The factory amp is only about 100W so not that great- it sits just under the staker in the rear right side of the boot. I have eonon 675, just installed flush in dash. The head supplies the rear speakers directly (bulit in 45 w amps in head). RCA cables run to 4 channel 560W amp in boot (aftermarket)- this supplies front speakers and the sub. I also installed jaycar tweeters and crossovers in the door boxes. Mate you would be AMAZED what EXCELLENT sound quality you get out of this sorta arrangement- and YES its not pioneer/alpine- just the EONON and YES- on just factory speakers/sub. I cannot be more satisfied.
