i reckon it would look awesome if you made a cover for the sub hole and underneath your parcel shelf so you can't see any of the body, then just paint the back shelf in a contrasting colour, and clear coat it. i reckon that would look sweet. Otherwise, an awesome job on your part :-)

Excellent work!

I agree, perhaps some black fabric stapled underneath the open logo would provide a contrast?

Matt.

Part of the plan is to put a mesh under the griffin. Was thinking a red mesh to match the badge on the bonnet... Thanks for the comments guys.

What if you did the red mesh under the shelf and then sprayed the shelf itself the same colour as your car? That would look good I think.

Great work by the way.

Finally finished uni for the term, so the girlfriend and I got stuck into covering the parcel shelf.
I covered the shelf in a white vinyl with a thin foam underlay to give it a bit of body. Then used a red grill to cover under the griffin, from inside and outside the car you can’t really see through the grill because of the angle it’s on, which is a bonus.
I also went around the edges of the griffin in silver pin-striping to match the badge on the bonnet.

Yeah thats a good job there, well done. Now all you need to do is match the rest of your interior with it, it will look so good.

I better get started...

Hey Steven, that parcel shelf is looking awesome!

Just wondering, how did you go about attaching the seat belt clips just behind the back seat?

I actually cut out pieces big enough for them to just sit there, then the back seat holds them in place. They dont move or what not.
