i have a 1000watt mono earthquake amp running a JBL GTO 12inch sub and a jvc 4channel amp running my 2 pairs of JVC 6 inch splits. When the bass is pumping hard the amps just turn off and the amps (when you touch it) is really hot. Any suggestion where the problem could be? and how to fix the problem.

Where are the amps mounted?? And what is air flow like?
My amps were mounted next to my sub box before i pulled it out to get checked due to engine noise.
Pics are on my msn site which is http://spaces.msn.com/members/MY-91-GT/ under my car. That might give you an idea, I'm running similar gear power wise just all pioneer. But they need to be vented well.

site not working I don't think thats the issue because it was rewired 3weeks ago, and thats when the problem started to occured, and it wasn't doing it be4. I'm think that its earthed worry or the power cable it's thick enough to handle the amps.

Jack, the amps are made to get really hot. Luckily you have decent equipment with heat protection so that they will cut out rather than keep heating up until they destroy themselves. It is not uncommon for amps to get to 60 and more degrees, until you can't touch them.
Having said that, they need to be able to vent air easily. Do not allow the heat sinks to be covered, and you will need at least 2" from the amp to any sort of cover. I have seen an amp start to melt lines from the heat sink in to perspex With proper ventilation, they should come good, if not, then you have a problem with your amp. I would highly doubt it is a wiring problem, as if anything is wired up incorrectly, it will not work, blow up, or cut out. If you have a speaker wire earthing, it will cut the amp out and your other amp will continue to work etc.
Also, Jack, Peter Nitschke and the rest of us hate sms speak, try to stay away from the "be4" speak and such.
