my original setup was with my amp mounted standing up on the right side of the boot. I made a board out of mdf and covererd it in boot carpet material so it looked close to stock.
I will try find a pic of it later today for you. But it looked good and out of the way.

wow that amp is pretty huge. lol. good setup there scott. probably your best option tim. how about on the inside of the rear boot wall on the passenger side? monting it to the back of the actual plastic wall bit? but also have it resting on the floor or cut a bit of mdf to take some of the weight.

If I have it on the inside Walt, its going to hit on to the tank every time theres a bump in the road.
Will get very annoying very quick.
Scott, length ways the amp is the depth of the boot, so no good on its end... and width ways, it just squeezes in, however I'm not sure how much room theire will be for leads
hmm... underneath bootlid maybe? hahaha
Think I might have to get this one done professionally somehow

you can get some adhesive backed foam to stop it hitting the tank? i have found velcro strips adhesive backed stick extremely well and handle a fair bit of weight. (provided you wipe down the area with solvent to remove grease before applying the sticky backing. it is a huuge amp tho

Justin - I went to a 5CH to remove the need to run an extra power wire to it.. and I was hoping to control everything through one amp.
Walt - yeah, it will be too heavy for that... she's got a bit of weight to her. Might see what I can do in the way of alternate clips for the bootwall so that they dont come undone so easily

Tim,
The last picture with it sitting against the boot trim behind the fuel tank-
WHy don't you mount a suitable size piece of 16mm MDF directly behind the fuel tank. Secure it to the floor using metal strap and/or shelving brackets. Then place the stock carpet trim back in and secure the amp through the trim piece onto the MDF. That way you could conceal all cabling by running it behind the trim so only the amp is on display.
If you were local to me I'd do it for you with stuff lying around the shed.

Actually, thats not a bad idea Ben.
I may even be able to make a bracket that will secure the MDF to the underside of the parcel tray area as well to prevent any flex on the lower brackets.

Yeah,
I'm reasonable happy with it... the clips to secure the wall wont go in with the MDF there, so once it is all done, I will just be running a few welf tappers up through into the underside of the parcel tray to secure the wall.
Will be out of sight, so wont cause too much grief.
Just gotta pull the interior out and re-do some of the wiring again to keep power and speaker wires seperated.

Thanks again for the good thinking on this Ben. Got the DVD player hooked in and gave it a go tonight... Sounds unreal!!! Has come up real tidy too... The blue backlight from the amp looks brilliant in the boot
