Hey guys how many leads are suppose to plug into the amp which run from the sub? I only have one, is this correct? Still trying to diagnose why my sub doesnt wanna work and im pretty clueless about this sort of stuff as the install was done by a pro. Also how are sub enclosures normally secured? Mine is molded into the right hand side of the boot and im not sure whether is is screwed in or glued in, whats the norm? I cant seem to find any screw and i wanna take it out to see if the wiring is correct as this may be a cause of the sub not working.

Well you should have a +ve and -ve wire ... effectively one cable which has two parts, you can kinda split/tear the cable in half as you will see two separate sections of wire, hope that makes sense
Also if you are not sure whether it is glued or screwed you can always just unscrew the sub and pull it out ... check that the leads are connected properly and then just screw it back in

Unfortunately the actual sub is glued to the enclosure to make a seal, i ve already tried ripping it out. So there should only be one plug going into the amp? I have both wires (+ve and -ve) converging into one plug.

Dont know what amp you have but generally you will have the +ve and -ve connecting to the relevant channels on the amp, which means it should be connected at two points on the amp +ve and -ve
Also has the sub always not been working ? or is it something that has just occured, if it always hasn't then there could be other issues that may cause it not to produce sound
If you were in vic i would come take a look at it but seeing as you aren't give us some more details, i.e. what amp, what sub and also if you can take a pic of the cable and where it currently connects to the amp and to the sub
Speaking of which I finished my install today, WOOT, now just have to tune it properly

There is a white and red connector plug which then via an adapter converge into one plug. The inputs on the amp has a sub input and a sub output so it goes into the output only. Amp is eclipse, sub is eclipse and it has worked it the past and then stopped working about a year ago and i just didnt have the time to look at it. Now with uni done im fixing and modifying the car further.

The only thing that has me confused is why it converges to one plug to connect to the amp, it should be connecting to a +ve and -ve terminal on the amp, your amp has 4+1 channels, the '+1' is specifically designed to run a sub in a system
I would test the the sub on a different channel, if it works then it would mean something internal on the amp is wrong in regards to the sub channel, however if it still doesn't then you can safely say something is wrong with the sub wiring or sub itself
Other things to rule out is if you have changed settings on the headunit or if it does have settings that may affect the sub, i.e. switching from 2way mode to 3 way as this will result in different signals going through the rca cables, or simply a sub output on/off etc, (all depends on the headunit)
