OK... I've bought some audio gear for the new vehicle and am hoping to deck it out a bit

Clarion MAX386VD Double Din Touchscreen DVD
Polk Audio DB6501 6.5" component speakers
Polk Audio DB651 6.5" speakers for the rear

And will be using my existing Pioneer GM-6200F 4ch Amp to drive it all

Anyways, started today with installing the splits.

I'm a bit perplexed as to where I can mount the crossover in the door so that it doesnt foul on the doorskin when I put that back on

Does anyone have any suggestions, or tips on where they mounted theirs?

Pics would be great

Thanks

The speaker pods out of my wreck had been modified by the previous owner and have an mdf sheet attached to the front which accommodates the 6.5 woofer cone perfectly, so I have used them.

i made up a complete mdf sheet and attached the crossover to the back of the board.. you might be able to try something like that..

you can mount the crossovers just next to the speakers underneath the electric mirror control box.
when you put the trim back on, the crossovers will be just underneath the electric window switch.
i think what you can do is try to make up a new custom mount based on the current mdf sheet you have now but extend it out a bit more like so something like this...

I screwed my crossovers into the carpet bit on the door trim because they were transparent and wank factor worthy.
