Hi all, I ran a diagnostic and I was informed the TV unit was disconnected.
I pulled up the backseat and the TV unit was connected. Are there any other plugs someplace (i.e. going to radio unit, EMV amp etc), that may make the TV unit be seen to be unplugged by the EMV?
Are there any tests I can run on the TV unit, hook up power, check resistance etc? I have since removed the unit. Won't take long to plug back in. So tests on the unit out or in the car are no issues.
If the power supply in the TV unit has completely failed will this result in a similar error, or will it still be a Error 12?
Ideally testing another TV unit would be great to see if it is a comms error somewhere else in the chain or if it is all within the TV unit.

Hi Luke, nup, never converted, NTSC only. Don't know if it ever worked because the car had a broken EMV when I bought it, which I got fixed. I was given a DVD player with NTSC output from Daniel and when I went to check the TV for real I found it didn't work and the diagnostics said it is disconnected. I had a mates wife translate it for me.
I since found a post from yourself someplace saying it is basically buggered if it has that message.
Anyhow, what is the way forward? How do I hook up a digital tuner with no TV tuner for AV in? I have a 91 Soarer. I have seen a few posts stating you can hook up directly to the EMV, but there were no details on this.

Thanks. I'll have another search. I have seen a few and each one goes to the TV unit and connects to the Video In + signal etc at the TV tuner plug. I bet I have misinterpreted this to be video in to the TV tuner and it may have been referring to video in on the EMV.
Cheers, Mike

Thanks Daniel. That is one of the ones I had found. I read the first few paragraphs and wiring connections and figured I needed a working TV unit. If only I had read a bit more before testing the TV unit I would have seen the bit about not having to connect the plug back into the TV tuner.
