i am going to be using wireless and mobile broadband but i need to get the car on the road first! lol
i basically built mine for passenger use, just for and giggles really. and a learning curve. lol i thought it would be neat to have the ability to mix a live set in the car with a midi controller, broadcast live on the net and keep the passenger amused. ive got some software here for digital gauges read from the dlc connector under the steering column. thats for when theres no one in the car but me

Hi Walter, I checked out the On Screen Keyboard with Win 7 and XP. The keyboard isn't exactly tailored for a lower res screen. How does it display on the Lilliput? On Win 7 the on screen keyboard has a width of 825 pixels.
Did you get a response from the ebay seller of the Garmin software?

it displays quite well on the lilliput runs 1024x768 res. ebay seller says onscreen keyboard will not work with the garmin software so s roll out waterproof wireless mini keyboard is in order, will make a flat board for it to sit on that rests inside the glovebox lid to provide a flat surface. passenger will have to do all the keystroking while im driving obviously so theres no need for it to be near me.
ive finally just gotten my car home! so its about to go on the road, i installed stuff over the weekend the carpc's 2nd final install to run it and also to hook up the sound, apart from accidentally cracking the touchscreen glass!! everything went without a hitch. i'm using the onboard sound jacks from 3.5mm to rca onto my jaycar 5ch digi amp. and i am quite impressed by the whole setup so far. im running 24 bit 98000k sound using custom equalizer settings so that the sound is different when i open a movie. ie set equalizer settings for different programs that open. i am still yet to test the screen visibility in full sunlight.. and am now purchasing a touchscreen kit that is flexible! not a glass one. the pic shows it installed with 4x usb flexible hub hanging out the side and another hub attached to the underside of the car pc along with my amp remote for bass gain the stock sub can handle quite a pounding!

you could just get a vga input 7 inch lcd of any kind and buy the touchscreen panel for an extra 40 bucks. so thats a cheaper option..
my carpc still works a dream. sound is superb just finished uploading 168 gb of music onto it and some porn for good measure , i have to replace the ripped dash and climate control soon anyway so redoing the carpc screen is not a worry, certainly did manage to get a hell of a lot of cursing out of me when i heard the crack!
hurry up and get your system up and running!! also just tested out my gps with google earth. and god damn! i am impressed by its accuracy!! even showed the deviation when i parked on the road!

i have a mini bluetooth 2.0 dongle works perfect with my bluetooth gps receiver, havent tried to get it going with bluetooth handsfree on the nokia yet. i shall attempt this next.
atm i'm just plugging the 3.5mm mic jack of the carpc to the 2.5mm jack of my phone for calls but will definitely be wanting direct bluetooth connection. will let you know how it goes

large link but its a good alternative to mounting a screen as i have. you can still have a 1.5 din space for gauges and the like. and the price is right too
