ok, above where it says R there should be screws there as well.. take those screws out, and pull the whole pod out(its a big unit) and unplug the speaker. ignore all the little sized screws and just unplug all the big ones attached to the big box the speaker is hooked into.
see the screw holes in this photo? pretend the speaker pod would be flat and pretty much remove these screws?
i should take a picture of mine to upload and show you. would be so much easier if i could upload photos haha!
you could get them to make a plate for you, however i reakon they would charge an extra 100 bucks... when you can try and make your own, it takes time but it would only be about 3 bucks, pending you have the right tools

Well I just received the focals today and I went to JB and Autobarn and either of them want to install in a Soarer. I guess my only other choice will be Sound Street & Vision. I will post a vid or something once everything is done. Should be a killer setup.

I should post up pics of what I did. I've spent hours trying to get a damn template right for the mdf... I was thinking about just making them for people and sending them out if anyone was interested.
The problems I encountered is that I'm using 1/2" (1.2cm?) thick mdf and so when I place the 6.5" speaker in, I had the rubber surround on the speaker almost touching parts of the door so I was afraid that when the speaker hits, it will hit the plastic on the door. I'm using the thick mdf because that's all they had at the Home Depot.
I'll post some pics up and explain other things later heh.

Here's what I did with my stupid 12mm mdf haha
It works and is quite sturdy. It was so thick I had to drill with a spade bit to get the original bolts in (drilled the hole about half way down or maybe a tad more, can be seen in top left bolt spot).
I imagine you'd have much better luck with 6mm board in terms of interference with the door as well as the speaker coming out while music is on and hitting the door though. 5.25" speakers would be a great idea as well. My 6.5" were only $10 more so I figured why not...
I'm going to be sticking the crossovers in the door opening and just have them resting in there haha. Probably should be fine =P
