I just got a new cartridge for my CD player. When I push the CD button on the head unit... not a thing happens, no one thing.

Any suggestions? Hopefully there is a hidden fuse or something simple that I haven't found.

For any who may have similar problems, I found the answer.

The sliding lid / cover has a small Z shaped piece of plastic screwed into it. This pushed against a 'button' on the left side (looking from rear of car to front) of the casing. This button effectively is a shut off switch. So if the button isn't pushed in, then nothing happens.

My Z piece was broken: so I made up a replacement from aluminium: everything now works properly.
