Just wondering if anyone would be able to sacrifice a few hours over the weekend to help me install a single din dvd unit I have. I cant see the point of paying JB $150 to do the job. I live in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Preston.

Will buy you a 6 pack for your time :-)

Actually I have just done some research and I should be able to install it myself.

It looks at though the soarer already has 2 or 3 wiring harnesses which are used to connect to the headunit. Does anyone know where I can get matching harnesses so I can solder them onto my headunit's cables.

This is the easiest way to connect the headunit right? Does anyone have a wiring diagram or chart?

I just cut all of mine off, and soldered on a female ISO plug set I bought from Supercheap (my new head unit was supplied with a set of male ISO's, and I figure I might want to put another head unit in one day, and this would make it very easy)

I just used a voltmeter to find all the battery power, Ac power, and earths - and a 9 volt battery and multimeter to find all the speaker pairs and identify +/-. Took me nearly a whole day though, especially by the time I'd put the amp in.

I cut mine adding spade bits to each side, and spade bitted an iso connector. IF i ever remove the iso, i can just clip the other two spade bits together.
