This is a very noobish question for me, but its had me confused for a very long time. I have a jaycar amp, silver top 800wrms mono block class D, very reliable amp, has been running my 2 response subs nicely for a good year now.
Thats not the confusing part though. My amp has two speaker outputs but then also says mono block. Then in the 2005 jaycar catalog say 400wrms x1 4Ω then 600rms x 1 2Ω then 800wrms x1 1Ω makes sense, but the two out puts has me stumped. I plan on getting a alpine type s dual voice coil rated for 300wrms
SO the question is, how do i hook this up ? I was thinking one speaker out put to one coil and the other one to the other coil. Is that the right way ? or do i run it in parallel from one output ?

post up a pic of what your talking about.
are they rca's or are they just speaker terminals?
i would say if its speaker terminals. then across the top two is 4ohm, diagonally from first terminal down to the last terminal could be 2ohm, and first terminal at the bottom to the last terminalon top is perhaps 1ohm? i'm not sure you need to pot up a pic mate.
