Just thought i'd share with everyone that i've installed a type S into my parcel shelf.
It fits right into the stock hole with only minor modification. I decided i would keep the stock mount because it has the holes for the cover in built. All I had to do to make the sub fit down properly was to score off the top corner of the mount about 3mm at a 45ยบ angle. this allows the extra diameter of the type s to fit close enough to the stock holes on the sub bracket.
I know its a bit dodgy, but it will do until i figure out a way to make it better and still use the stock mounts for the cover.
I also need to figure out a way to enclose the sub to get the full sound from it, but i've only got about 10mm between the magnet and fuel tank, its going to take one of those random strokes of genius to sort it out I'll get there eventually, but for now this will do the job. Idea's, Comments ?
