The Kicker amp and a 10 or 12 Sub is the go. You could run the front off two channels and the sub off the other two. Something like the Jaycar 2 x 80W would then do for the rear speakers.
I would use 2 of the Jaycar 2 x 150W for front and sub and the 2 x 80W for the rear if I could fit all the amps in ('cos i already have 'em and got them cheap).

Jaycar are good for amps and subs. The 6.5" split speakers are pretty reasonable too. There aren't many other real good speakers available from them though.

persoanly if budget can handle it don't go strathfield, i love alpine, but not everone can afford it (neither can i lots of saving) but the more u spend on it the better the sound, Inifnity speakers are the bomb atm, with a good mono block amp say a Alpine V12 they would boot something cronic inifnity are pricy tho

OK, for my first post I'll put in my two cents on this. First of all, as has been said, avoid strathfield if you can, i have personally had very bad experiences with incompetent sales staff and totally useless installers there. Secondly, 2 8" subs (or 2 of any sub really) is pointless, you would be much better off getting one good quality 10" or 12" sub and running it off a good amp that will feed it plenty of power. Thirdly, in response to what Jose said, if you have a large budget ($500+ just for the splits) then those are good suggestions and I personally would steer clear of Japanese speakers (ie. alpine) as their sound tends to be more artificial and go for an american or european brand like boston's or focal's.
Other than that, I'm glad to now be part of this forum and I will (hopefully) be getting my tt soarer in the very near future.

No problem Lars let me talk to him and if he is willing to do the job then i will post his number up.
other thing he and i will say is to retain you stock front splits. they sound really nice and crisp. but change your rear speakers.
If want to know and hear how clear and crisp it sounds i could give you a demo before you go out and spend $$$ for your front splits.
If you are only going to spend $200 dont bother changing your front splits but if you got over $300 just for front splits then it would give you better results.
