So i'm doing a CarPC, and i think i've got everything i need, BUT where would be the best place to patch into the factory speakers? I don't know much about how everything is configured, but the front's have tweaters as well? So patch in before the crossover somewhere? is that how it works? Would it be best to run them in 2 channel mode? or 4.1? 2.1 etc? i've got a Cadence FXA5100 1800W amp to run it from. http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=128&idproduct=378

Best to run your own wires to the speakers.
That way, you know where they are, and that they are new.
If you are going to patch into the existing wires, then you can hook into where the original amp is, so either the head unit, or the amp in the boot.
Usually there are pairs of the same colour wire, one with a black or white trace. Keep the same wiring method for each wire or it will sound like poo and be out of phase.. Eg, black trace = negative terminal of spkr output on the amp and neg terminal of the spkr.
As far as 4.1, 2.1 or 2 channel, it depends on your music source... are you just listening to 2 ch music? then use 2ch..

but what about it being split to the tweaters etc? where does that happen? in the door trim near the speakers? or in the boot at the amp etc? Any ideas? i reckon the sources will mainly be 2ch.
