Nah was custom work done by the previous owner, I've got a bunch of photos from him showing how the bottom of the door trim was completely re-built to accept the speakers though, nice bit of work.

that one looks a lot easier to do than the first two pics. it actually looks like a commodore front speaker pod modified a lot! or even one of those mdf/ fibreglass spacers from supercheap with a bit more fibreglassing done to mould and fit the smaller speaker

You can also fairly easily make your own speaker adaptor out of mdf. See this thread:
