Hey guys

I have a Clarion DXZ835MP Headunit.... had it for I think maybe 2 years?

Anyways, was working fine, and I wanted to change CD, took the current one out, and as soon as I inserted the new disc it made a loud clicking kind of noise.

The faceplate is motorized and wouldnt close.

The headunit then just spits the CD out, and the face closes.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? CD Lens cleaner or something? Or is it something that has to be sent off to be repaired?

Thanks guys

Ryan

Sounds like the loading mechanism is somehow stuffed. I don't know about your particular model but quite often they use a motor driven belt and it is the belt that is the problem.
Jaycar and DSE both have belt packs at much cheaper prices than OEM.
