I have a D Class amp to run sub and rear speakers. The manual states 2 amp is OK for rear speakers but 4-8 Ohms required if bridged. As I'll only now be running a factory sub (2 Ohm) is it possible to run this from one channel only rather than bridge the amp? Presumably, if the factory sub is anything like the factory speakers (15W rear, 10 watt doors) it won't require a lot of power, and it seems amp is 2 Ohm stable (if not bridged).
So if this is possible, I'd have say channel 1 for the sub, and channels 3 & 4 for rear speakers, with channel 2 unused. Is this feasible?
I gave up on aftermarket sub due size considerations (not to mention that I wanted it to go in factory location, where it's near-impossible to put any sort of enclosure).
