While I've done as many different searches in here and google possible i still haven't found any diagrams/charts of the stock wiring that match the spaghetti that is behind my head unit.

what I have got is the stock system with the 12 stack cd and sub in a 98 3L 2jz. I was hoping for an easy swap over but it doesn't look like I will be able to do that.

so far i have established which are the 12V always on and 12V key power wires. i got a battery strapped some wires to it to try and test which were the speakers but i got nothing.

so has anyone changed over a head unit in a car like mine or is there a diagram that has corresponding wire colours?

And i guess will it be possible to swap over my head unit only while keeping the sub and speakers all running schmick or will it require a huge amount of dicking around?

cheers
