Well, I am having some issues with my sound setup.
I have a constant whine when the engine is running, and the more you accelerate, the louder it gets.
I originally thought it was caused by the amp (two amps in the boot, but one was unsecured) shorting something out. I was driving along and heard a LOUD ggggaazzzzziiiitttt noise From then on, I've had the whine.
Neither amp's two fuses were popped, but I replaced them anyway. I have removed all but one speaker. Then, been testing both amps using that one speaker. Still whines. I then got a brand new speaker, and run that off both amps, with new speaker wire, still whines. I then got my hands on another amp, and again tested, still whines. Tested with another RCA lead, still whines.
The power and amp signal wires come down the D/S and into the boot. While the RCA's lead comes down the centre console, under the seat, then to the P/S and into the boot. At NO point is there any power cable near the RCA leads to cause this interference.

After further testing, I've found out the problem is actually with the headunit. More to the point, it's a known 'issue' with Pioneer headunits. There is a fuseable link on the earth of the RCA, and, on a regular basis, they are known to go pop!
So, next question. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix it?
