Okay, so after reading a couple of threads here, my stereo went from no sound from any of the front speakers, to only static. I fiddled around with the amp under the CD stacker and replugged everything in temporarily and managed to get static from them, checked both fuses in engine bay and under dash. Used a FM transmitter, tape AUX. Can't use CD stacker because it looks like someones taken something from it (nowhere to actually put a CD).
Any reason why speakers are only playing static and sub works fine?

i had two different amps one had low sound from front speakers rear sub ok but that has its own amp i think, the other had only sound from rear speaker, both now work perfectly, i have a third amp that works only with rear speakers might be low sound from front, but not repaired this as i now have 2 good amps.( the reason i have that many is i got them second hand trying to sort problem but none lasted) common problem apparently with uzz31 sound system.

Yeah, I soldered a part of the amp and it started working for a little bit... then it went pssss. Started smoking....hahaha. So I'm in need of a new amp. Unless I can find the right resistor to replace.
Are you saying there are 96 caps to (potentially) replace? I think I need this done on mine. How hard is this to do, and what are the specs of the replacement ones?

there were 96 in my radio amp for uzz31, not all would of needed replacing but thought it best to do a proper job, it was an easy job for me because I got my mate to do it.

I have this problem at the moment as well, i have tried 3 different dsp's and 2 different amps (i know that they all work as well. Which leads me to think it could be the emv? Im going to suss it out further now and see if any signals are making it to the dsp and amp, anyone know what colour the "speaker " wires are going into the dsp? That would be a big help.
