Hi all
My emv doesnt produce sound anymore except through the sub, i have the luxury of owning 2 91 uzz32s, so i can swap around amps etc, and have done that, the sound just stopped last week out of the blue, and i have had my emv out and plugged in everything and cleaned up everything, by the sounds of it something has given up.

Cd and amp has been switched. Same result, and i am quite handy with electrical, so i know what to look for

One correlation (which could be a coincidence) is the tape doesnt except tapes anymore ( tries then spit it out) so i have taken that apart and cleaned it properly and still same result, does the tape player have anything to do with sound? (All buttons work fine), and how where can i test the sound output signal directly from the emv? So then i can atleast test wires before and after amps etc. guessing that in theory i could hook up a headphone to the wires and hear a dim sound, and also use my multimeter ofcourse.

So summary, all speakers have no sound but his at a low consistant volume. Sub is okay, amp should be fine (unless both amps are a dud). Everything is plugged in, tape could be dodgey

Thanks guys. Searched every single thread, no one has discussed a fix unless its something like upgraded amps. I would like to know where to test what outputs and hopefully it will save a few peoples time in future

Try switching to radio and change the equalizer in the audio options.

Sounds odd but has worked in two of mine...
