Hello, this post is so i can have all the information i need in one place to install an aftermarket head unit while maintaining the stock speakers/amp.

I have a single din pioneer head unit (few years old) it has rca which i had an amp/sub connected to (previous car), i have the connection wires for it and have seen some early model toyota ISO wires, that say fit an toyota MR2, which i read somewhere can be used for the soarer.

if that works how would i go about connecting the stock amp to the rca ports

does anyone know do i only need the wires from the 15 pin plug, (do i just leave the 2 other plugs alone) and i found in another thread

"What you need to do at this point, it butcher up some RCA leads. Run the Positive to each speaker AMP signal and the negative to the signal ground"

does this mean i solder all the speaker wires (pos/neg) to the rca's ? and not to the other head unit wires.

got stuff temporarily wired up, i can get audio from the speakers but not the sub, i used this guide

1 = AMP - Pink and Blue
2 =(not in use)
3 = ACC - Grey
4 = B+ 12v constant - Black and Yellow
5 = Mute... handy to know :-) if you have the stock amp. - Yellow
6 = Front Left + = Black?
7 = Front Right + = Red
8 = Ant Amp PWR = Black and Red
9 = (not in use)
10 = (not in use)
11 = Ground - Brown
12 = Signal ground - Brown and Black
13 = Audible warning Beep? - Green
14 = Rear Left + = White
15 = Rear Right + = Brown... two browns on a single plug...?

one wire that i cant connect is the number 8 wire *antena.

the sub may/not be working its hard to get my head ovr it to listen but its either nor working or is working but not playing the low end.
