i am going to do the emv replacement mod and want to use the existing amps.

What is the easiest way to do this? what/where are the plugs and pins for the amp and sub amp inputs?

research has shown that an adaptor cable PC9-411 can be used. It is a 15 pin plug to RCA connectors, what/where do you plug it into?

Any particular reason you're ditching the EMV?

it works great, but i have been "collecting"
the pcs to do the EMV conversion.

I can sell the emv to pay for the conversion. The unit i am looking at has GPS, USB input(mp3, mp4),DVD player, Bluetooth, Sub out, reversing camera input, aux in to take my Dig tv, and i think with out needing expanders, better radio reception with station names displayed etc.

You gain some useful functions, and only lose the trip functions on the EMV

I gather you'd just need to find the correct wiring diagram for your UZ model / year and tap into the L/R audio out from the EMV that runs to the amp. i've got my aftermarket headunit wired into the factory loom and then bypass the amp and back to the speakers. the headunit on its own is loud enough for me and i have an aftermarket amp running the sub so that i can put the big 12" in the boot if i want more bass.

here's how my Sony headunit fits in the factory double din trim (in a JZZ30).

"and only lose the trip functions on the EMV" There are a lot of functions on the EMV that would be lost, You have bypassed the AC so you still have that but assuming you have this on the 32 your othe computers will not communicate with the EMV on the other functions.

to use the existing amp for the 4 speakers , I believe from the RCA o/p on the head unit , i connect to the amp under the CD player.
A1 FR red
A2 FL Blue
A7 RR brown
A8 RL white

woofer amp connections are

pin1 RU+ black
pin5 RU- white

to connect to the RU inputs, i need to change the unbalanced WF o/p from the head unit to a balanced I/P to the sub amp (RU + and RU-)

This can be done using an op amp, DVR134, and 2 10uf caps

i have connected the pre amp O/P's (rca connectors) and the SW to the D plug on the radio receiver under the rear seat.(i used cat5 twisted pr and run it under the carpet along the LHS sill)i did not earth it at this end, but earthed pin 9 of the plug. I only used RU+ for the sub connection and it seems to work ok. This is the I/P to the power Amp under the CD stacker. All speakers and S woofer are now driven with the stock amps.

I cannot locate the Reverse camera video to the EMV so will have to run another wire to the camera via the RHS sill.
