Hey guys,

I was just wondering if the trim in the boot closest to the fuel tank was strong enough to hold a 10kgs worth of amps like Joe had in his?

Joe, if your still around, did you need to reinforce it?

Absolutely not.
It's lucky to stand up on it's own

You do have to reinforce it, or it will fall apart in short time. I thought of doing it without any support, and it just seemed too wobbly to me, with all the bumps and stuff when you are driving it will get looser over time. So when I mounted my amp that way, put a piece of wood behind the lining, and then just screwed it together and now it holds nice and stiff.

i have two Rockford Fosgate Amps on the back like Joe's, i just put a piece of mdf on the back of the trim and screwed the amps on that way,you dont see the wood on the back.

How often do you pull the trim off and pose it for looks? Who cares if you see wood there or not, it's all a big mess behind there anyway

thanks fellas...

but does the trim hold on tight enough? there is only 4 or 5 hooks/clips holding the trim in place, I would think a quick traffic light getaway would pull the trim off?

Thanks fellas, really helpful stuff!
