hi guys, i have an amp problem.. i can't seem to get any amps to power up on my system. i have amp wiring from the battery with a fuse, that isn't blown, and a sufficent ground. but any amps i use don't seem to power up..
i've simply hooked up the power source and the grounded the amp, to get power to it, haven't wired anything else to make sure it works, am i missing anything here?
Daniel, Most amps require some sort of remote wire (to tell it to turn on). Most people run this from their headunit, but I have heard tales of others running it from their accessory wire.

yeah, you should have a 3rd power connection, usually called 'remote'. This wire tells the amplifier to turn on when the head unit turns on.
There should be a wire from the loom, if you have an aftermarket head unit called remote power, or amp remote, something along those lines. Run that connection to the remote on the amp.
You can also go 'ghetto' and run the remote to the amplifier from your accessories. However if you do this, whenever the car is on or the key is switched to accessories, your amplifiers will be turned on.
