Hey all
Well, I finally got my act together and got my system in, and it has turned out absolutely awesome, couldnt be happier, here are some photos.
7" Bostik Screen with JVC DVD\VCD\CD\MP3\WMA and pretty much every other format head unit, also have the bass controller for 1 of the amps there too
Pioneer 4.5 inch with tweeters and pioneer crossovers sit in there factory positions, I was going for a whole stock look with the speakers, also in the rear I have pioneer 6x9s sitting under the factory parcel shelf, complete factory look, you wouldn't even know they were 6x9s in there.
This took me a while to make, but after analysing all the different members amp setups, I made this on my own, basically a piece of wood, which sits on a metal bracket (angleine). There were 2 threads that stick up from the base of the boot where the amps are sitting which I utalised and thats how the bracket is sitting into position on the base. Also made a upper bracket for extra support for the top, and amps sit on either side of the plank of wood, the 1 controlling all speakers is a Alpine 4x60 watt rms, more than enough power to run the pioneer 6x9s and pioneer splits and tweeters. The 2nd amp is a jaycar 2x150 watt rms controlling these puppies below
2 12 inch MTX subs, this was a ebay special, subs and box cost me $80, $20 to refelt the box, since it was pretty dodgy carpeted before.
installation was done by Precision Car Audio in Sydney and can not thank them enough, the car was in for 2 days, they ran all new speaker cabling and used 4 gauge wiring for the amp power and the like, such a professional job, highly recommend them...

The total install cost was $600, which included installing everything, tuning the setup, wiring and labour cost, may sound expensive but like I said, couldn't be happier.

Wow that's super expensive!! I'm glad I do my own sound, they're bloody rip off merchants at those audio places! Glad to hear you're happy with the system should be a whole lot bassier with those MTX's thumping away!!

Marc: Yeah sounds expensive, but if I was to do it with a friend, it wouldn't of turned out as good, plus if I broke something or cut something that I shouldn't have, it would have been a pain in the arse to fix, where, this way you leave the car, and they are responsible for everything, plus I just dont have the time...
Vinh: Whats the point of putting wood?? There is nothing that will brake or fracture, I must be missing something cause I can't think of a purpose??

Steve, I only had one single Alpine 12" in the back of my boot and the cardboard piece covering the spare wheel started to sag over time. One day it broke when I took my spare wheel out and put the sub back on top of it (stupid me)

We would have charged about $500-ish for the same job.. Plus it all depends on the quality of RCA's and cables used.. you can pay up to $200+ for Cables alone!!
Those MTX Thunder 2000's are old skool!! I love it!! I used to have a pair of Thunder 3000 12's in a Ford Laser I once owned, and, with the help of a 700wrms amp, i managed to literally crack the rear vision mirror of the front windscreen!!! Priceless moment!!
