So, what would be some good options to make a N/A 5 speed Soarer go a bit faster without turning to turbos. I'm planning on getting a 2JZ-GTE swap but thats later down the line, my GE is running at 110k (or so) miles and I want to squeeze some more out of it. I'm specifically looking for things that are interchangeable between the 2JZ-GE and GTE, something like the JUN cam gears, but any ideas are welcome. Thanks.

Well simplest way would be putting nos, but then thats illegal, going all n/a you would want to have a full exhaust for starts, aftermarket intake of some sort, then cam gears and cam shaft with an aftermarket ecu.

I plan on getting a TT, but for now I just want to give my n/a a bit more power. I plan on getting cam gears. I'm not going to get NOS, thats for sure :-)

Julian, I am not sure where Jonathon is from, but CA would suggest USA, where it is not always illegal for NOS applications on street vehicles.

Personally, for an NA car, I would be looking at extractos, porting, CAI, decent exhaust system, possibly even looking st stroking the engine out.

Would getting an exhaust system for a 2JZ-GE also be compatible on the GTE? I know a bit of tuning will probably be required. No NOS for sure :-)

The majority of the exhaust would be alright just make sure you make the exhaust really high flowing because once you get a set of turbo's that's what you're gonna want! I'd leave the car alone and save my pennies for the 2jz-gte! No point wasting money on the n/a if you're gonna go turbo down the track.

Yeah, I'd spend money on uprating the brakes, as you are going to need to do that at some stage anyway.

Well, midpipe onwards. You'd obviously swap the extractors for the turbo and dumps :-)
