Hi guys,

After a recent trip to the mechanic he found that the steering rack had a slight bend in it.. he said that to fix/ get a new one would cost $1500..

Just wondering what my choices are? Get a new one? One from the wreckers? And what would a reasonable price be to get it fixed? I just don't want to get messed around and be hit up with the extra girls tax..Cheers

Where is it bent, how and when did this happen?

Surely the car must be horrible to drive if the rack is bent.

Steering racks are the same for any non UZZ-32 soarers. Get one from the wreckers for $150-200 ish, then about a day or so to R&R,

Possibly worth getting a second opinion about the bent rack, too.

Otherwise perry has good things to say about tuff toys, but I don't know where they are.

Thanks for the advise.. they said it was only a small bend and it does pull to the left a little bit but yeah how much would most people charge to put one from the wreckers in?
