Hi everyone!

I currently own a V8 limited Soarer but because of the P-plate restrictions i can not drive this vehicle legally. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good mechanic who does engine swaps? i want a 2jz in mine. I have thought about selling but the car would not be worth much as it has done over 200000Ks and i love my soarer too much. So do you guys think its worth swapping the engine? or just sell it and buy a piece of crap to drive around?

Either wait until your off your P's, or sell the car.

The 2JZ-GE is a pretty good engine aswell, very torquey and it's just a bit slower then the 1UZ.

Better to sell the car and get a JZZ31 - swapping a 1UZ-FE to a 2JZ-GE would be a big job.

Not only that, but you would turn your soarer into a bit of a wimp, and cost you a fair deal of money to do it.

Id budget over $2000...

I mean Ive owned both the 4.0GT and 3.0GT, there is a big difference. Hence why Im supercharging my 3.0GT to make it more like a 4.5l NA V8 with above average performance for todays standard.

My advise would be to sell your V8 and get a 3 Liter soarer or alternatively a cheaper car like a Honda or smaller Toyota.
