Hi guys want to rechrome the muffler pipe tip how does one removed it. Does it tap off or what. Seems to be on very tight. Thanks.

Hi Rod,

The factory tips are just clamped on, there are some rises in the exhaust pipe its self that press into the stainless tip to hold it on firmly.

Try sit down behind the muffler and pull it off, they can be tight so might take a fair bit of effort, and when they let go they pull off quick so you need to be careful you don't slice your hand on the rear bumper cut out or anything like I once did! Haha

I took mine off a while ago to polish properly and seem to remember three bolts (10mm head) which hold it on and allow it to be centred.

Hmmm, It must have been a 1997+ upgrade as I have not seen it on any of the models Ive had.
