I need the name of a good mechanic to do the engine swap. I sent Lew an Email but no reply yet. I'm in Brisbane so if anyone knows a top bloke who they trust to do this, I would be very appreciative.

Hopefully Joe Radistic (I think) will see this and point me in the right direction.

I know a little about the car and engine but no where near enough knowledge to do this myself.

Thanks guys. Josh: Sorry mate I meant Justin Cook. I was just reading a post by Joe at the time and must have put his name there in error.

It's penciled in for the end of February with Lew.

I can't wait. Goodbye sequential, hello parallel. Along with a nice big new cooler and brake upgrade (and if budget allows a fuel system upgrade too), all depends on how hardcore I can save between now and then.

I will start a project log thread shortly with the plans/ outcomes.

He's moving into a new shop in Yatala.

No manual conversion for me just yet man. Not sure if I want 5 or 6 speed.

Cruise I will definitely look in to. I'd prefer to go on a cruise after the engine transplant, as my car in it's current state has a semi flat battery (I'm holding out spending anything more on it til it's in the workshop) and a stupid rattle coming from the timing belt. I'll hopefully suss that out this Sunday when I have a day off.

Did you end up getting that tat, Dave?
