Hi guys

Does anyone know if there is a problem with the transmission or possibly diff if it makes a click noise when 1. selecing gears reverse and drive usually, and from a stop start it would click once before taking off, i'm assuming either tranny or diff maybe the issue, has anyone had this issue before?

jack up the rear.

Get some1 to sit in the car while you watch the diff.

Start the car, foot on brake, release hand brake, shift through P,R,N,D. R,D,R,D...


Look at the diff for irregular movements. I had a similar issue, turned out to be the diff on its way out.

Hope that helps...

or jack it up, give the tail shaft some twists. From what i gather, if there is a lot of movement, then its the diff....

My guess its either the diff, or the rear coupling (donut)
