sc300 - 2jz-ge. brakes are the same as a v8 275 front and 290something rear. suspension is springs, no fancy air or hydraulic suspension. engine is non turbo supra engine.

And its a JZZ31, not a SC300. I've had one for 4 years now and its been a fantastic, ultra reliable motor. Like you I don't need a fast car, just something with plenty of torque for comfortable long distance driving, and the JZZ31 suits perfectly. But if you are thinking of modding, don't bother, just get a TT, it'll be much cheaper in the long run.

sc300 is a US delivered lexus. simply put there were only two versions of soarer OFFICIALLY badged as lexus and sold in the US. the sc400 is uzz30 soarer. the sc300 is a jzz31 soarer. specs as follows
UZZ32 Soarer = 4.0L V8 with active suspension (NO LEXUS COUNTERPART!)
UZZ31 Soarer = 4.0L V8 with airbag suspension (NO LEXUS COUNTERPART!)
UZZ30 Soarer = 4.0L V8 with coils ( Lexus SC400)
JZZ30 = 2.5L TT with coils (NO LEXUS COUNTERPART!)
JZZ31 = 3.0L NA with coils ( Lexus SC300)
i dont think there are ANY actual lexus' in australia. all of them are TOYOTA soarers, rebadged as lexus, which doesnt make them a lexus. All factory lexus badged soarers were LHD and did not come with the 3d dash. none of them had active or airbag suspension.
