They reason you use Iridiums or PLatinums is you have to remove the throttlebody and intake manifold section to get to the middle plugs . SO instead of changing coppers every 10,000km and removing all this, use some Iridiums and last 60,000+ km's instead

Yes, its a good hour job to do the plugs on a 2JZ-GE, even when you have done it a couple of times before. Clean your throttle body while you have it apart too.
Hey Jesse,iridium plugs are the only way to go you don't have to change them for 60 to 80 thousand K's. Well I never said I was fast! & thats including cleaning out the throttle body with seafoam. And yes its an easy job to do, just a bit fiddly around the rear plug.

hey guys thanks for all of your replies looks like NGK iridium IX are the way to go. haha well its gonna be my first time changing spark plugs in a soarer so its gonna take me at least triple the amount of time it takes everyone else to do it.

Took me four hours the first time i tried :/ And its the only time i've tried yet Wasted a TONNE of time getting those weird bolts things off the engine vallery cover. They are like washers with threads. Didn't help the previous owner spilt a tonne of oil down there too. here are the guides i used:
