hey everyone,
i got in my car yesterday after work and there was a squeaking coming from her, i checked when i got home and it was coming from one of the wheels on the belt. is there a fix for this? good ol' WD40 maybe?

if the belt is the same as a 1JZ then it will be a serpentine belt with the use of a automatic tensioner, so no adjustment can really be made, unless someone has fitted a longer than should be serpentine belt.
Go to your local auto store and ask for a stick of "dry lube" works fantastic at stopping dry belt squeek.
The problem with belts is that the heat from the motor and just deterioration from age causes them to dry out, and thus they have no "grip" as such.
If the belt looks dry and cracked, just get the belt number of it and go and buy a new 1.

I would look at a new tensioner and belt. Not overly expensive.
However best to pinpoint exactly where the sound is coming from before going out to spend, could be a bearing instead, or what Matt says, one of my old Soarers had a squeaky harmonic balancer.

The tensioner has marks on it so you can see if its tensioning properly - from memory there is an "A" mark and a "B" mark, I cant remember the order you read it in, but it is pretty obvious.
